At the end of the day, the wild bivouac is set up with the help of the team and the participants. The tents can accommodate one, two, or three people and are equipped with mattresses and blankets. It is recommended to bring your own sleeping bag for optimal comfort. The evening will be spent enjoying a traditional dinner and a campfire under the stars, for an authentic first immersion into the world of the Sahara.
Day 2: Sidi Naji – Erg Zahar
After a peaceful night under the stars, the trek continues towards Erg Zahar, a vast expanse of majestic dunes. You’ll traverse breathtaking desert landscapes, alternating between dunes, regs (stony plains), and occasional oases. The bivouac is set up at the end of the day to allow you to fully appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. The evening is dedicated to a traditional dinner and relaxing moments around the campfire in the heart of the desert, offering a unique Saharan experience.
Day 3: Erg Zahar – Aït Ounir
In the morning, after breakfast, you’ll resume your trek towards Aït Ounir, a typical site where tamarisk trees mingle with the dunes and which has always served as a refuge for nomads and their camels. The wild landscape and tranquility of the place offer you a unique moment of rejuvenation. At the end of the day, the bivouac is set up for the night, and you’ll enjoy dinner under the stars, accompanied by a campfire, in a completely authentic setting.
Day 4: Aït Ounir – M’Hamid
The final day of the trek begins with breakfast at the bivouac before heading back towards M’Hamid. You’ll traverse diverse landscapes, including tamarisk oases, and enjoy one last time the unique atmosphere of the desert.
