Day 1: M’Hamid – Sidi Najji
The trek begins early in the morning in M’Hamid, the gateway to the Moroccan desert. After setting off, you will cross the M’Hamid palm grove, a verdant oasis in the heart of the desert. A lunch break is planned in the shade of the palm trees before continuing to Sidi Najji, a place steeped in history and spirituality, famous for the marabout (shrine) buried there. At the end of the day, the bivouac is set up with the help of all participants. The tents can accommodate one, two, or three people depending on your preference and are equipped with mattresses and blankets. It is recommended to bring your own sleeping bag for added comfort. The evening concludes with a traditional dinner and a convivial gathering around the campfire under the starry desert sky.
Day 2: Sidi Najji – M’Hamid
At sunrise, the desert reveals its full beauty, and you can enjoy breakfast overlooking the golden dunes. Next, you’ll head back towards M’Hamid, crossing majestic desert landscapes dotted with palm trees and dunes. A lunch break is planned along the way before continuing your journey. You’ll arrive in M’Hamid in the mid-afternoon, concluding this short but intense immersion in the Moroccan desert, rich in encounters and unique experiences.
